Film Equipment Room Manager at California State University, Long Beach
February 2004 - May 2006
In the Film and Electronic Arts Department, I was the Student Manager who was in charge of over $200,000 of various film equipment. As Student Manager, I made sure expensive equipment issued to students for film shoots were both checked out and returned in acceptable working order.
This entailed me to have a strong working knowledge of thousands of pieces of equipment, be able to upkeep the equipment, and follow up on the student's troubleshooting issues.
I taught introductory classes to students in use of editing system's, camera and lighting equipment, and needed to be sure that students were prepared to handle the equipment in the field.
I was in charge of scheduling work hours for other student employees and made sure that everyone was treated respectfully.
